Taking Lessons

TAKING LESSONS

Why lessons are good
Lessons are about mastering all those little, kind of important things professionals can teach you that will help your skills get off the ground, such as stopping, turning, and dismounting from the chairlift. A lesson can be the difference between a great time at the snow and a very frustrating one. Just remember not to be too hard on yourself, it may take more than one lesson to feel at one with your skis or snowboard, but, you know what your mother always says, practice makes perfect!

Types of lessons
You can choose to do lessons with a large group, small group, and even one-on-one lessons with an instructor. Just be sure to book before you get to the snow, as lessons fill up quite quickly during peak periods.

Freshen up your skills
Lessons aren’t just for beginners, even once you’ve become adept at manoeuvring down the mountain, it’s a good idea to have a refresher lesson each time you take a trip to the snow, just to brush up on your technique. So grab a mate and book into a class together.
