Snow Play
SNOWPLAY |
| The joy of our snow is the snow itself. Watching kids build snowmen or throw a few snowballs is an unforgettable winter experience and most resorts have special play areas where kids can have a great time, away from the busy thoroughfare of the fields. Resorts also offer a range of non-ski or snowboard activities for those who are less inclined to head up the mountain. Tobogganing or sliding down the mountain on giant tyre inner tubes (snow-tubing) is a fun way to experience the snow without having to learn a new sport and it’s also a great family activity. Why not hire a pair of snow shoes and take a leisurely walk around the mountains? Most resorts offer snow shoe hire and guided tours with lunch provided along the way. Don’t forget to take your camera and always stick to designated tracks. |
SNOW TIP |
| If you’re driving to the snow, why not simply go for a scenic drive to take in the snow-dusted landscape? Just be sure to hire a set of snow chains if you’re in a two-wheel drive vehicle, you can normally do that at the base of the mountain. |
